1. Acting Techniques (The Core Craft)

These courses focus on the psychological and creative process of “becoming” someone else.

  • The Stanislavski System: Learning “The Magic If” and sensory memory.
  • The Meisner Technique: Living truthfully under imaginary circumstances through repetition exercises.
  • The Michael Chekhov Technique: Using psychological gestures to trigger emotions.
  • Improvisation: Developing spontaneity and “thinking on your feet” for unscripted moments.
  • Script & Text Analysis: Breaking down a screenplay into “beats,” “objectives,” and “intentions.”

🗣️ 2. Vocal & Physical Training (The Instrument)

Cinema requires total control over your physical and vocal tools.

  • Diction & Speech: Neutralizing accents, improving clarity, and mastering “Projected Naturalism.”
  • Voice Modulation: Learning to vary pitch, volume, and tone to convey subtext.
  • Movement for Actors: Incorporating Yoga, Martial Arts (like Kalaripayattu), or the Alexander Technique for body awareness.
  • Stage & Screen Combat: Safe techniques for hand-to-hand fighting and weapon handling (swords/firearms).
  • Dubbing & ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement): Professional training in matching your voice to your own screen performance in a studio.

🎥 3. On-Camera & Technical Skills

This is the “Cinema” specific training that separates screen acting from theater.

  • Acting for the Lens: Understanding shot sizes (Close-up vs. Wide) and how to adjust your performance energy.
  • Hitting the Mark: Moving accurately within the frame without looking down at your feet.
  • Eye Lines & Focal Points: Learning where to look when your co-actor isn’t in the frame (often just a piece of tape next to the lens).
  • Continuity: Repeating the exact same physical actions (like picking up a glass) across multiple takes for editing.
  • VFX & Green Screen Acting: Performing against a blank background with imaginary monsters or environments.

💼 4. The Business of Acting (Industry Readiness)

In 2026, being a great actor isn’t enough; you must be a “pro” at the business.

  • Audition Techniques: Mastering the “Cold Read” and the psychology of the casting room.
  • Self-Tape Mastery: Learning to light, frame, and record professional auditions from home.
  • Portfolio Development: Professional headshots, resume building, and digital presence.
  • Showreel Production: Creating a high-quality 2-minute video “reel” of your best performances.
